Outreach
The Hitchcock Memorial Garden – The garden is a unique part of our church, providing space for peaceful reflection and meditation. Members of our church maintain and enhance the garden for use by the parish and community.
Habitat for Humanity – Members of our church volunteer in the construction of new homes for families in need in the Omaha area. Every year, St. A's sponsors a weekend providing workers and food/refreshments.
St. Monica’s Substance abuse Program for Women – We provide support to this transitional housing program through our prayers and monetary donations.
Western Douglas County Christmas Baskets – We help pack and deliver food to families in need in our community. This outreach is sponsored by the Western Douglas County Rotary Club, to which several of our members belong.
Dean Fricke Memorial Episcopal Food Pantry – Monthly collections from our church are given to the Food Pantry to feed the homeless and hungry in Omaha and Council Bluffs. Dn. Pat serves on the board.
Red Cross Blood Drive – For the past few years, St. Augustine’s has hosted a successful summer blood drive for the area, providing mush needed blood products at a time when supply is often low.
COPE (the Christian Outreach Program of Elkhorn) – An ecumenical ministry to families in need in our area, St. Augustine’s contributes financially and with clothing drives.
Womenade - Assists families in financial need primarily in the Elkhorn area. St. Augustine’s contributes to their three main projects per year issued through the schools: backpack supplies, clothing and the Celebration of Giving Project during the Holidays.
Dn. Bob and Ellen Snow – As the Diocese of Nebraska, we support the significant ministry of the Snows in the Dominican Republic.
