Tuesday Brown Bag Lunch Group
Meets the last Tuesday of every month from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome! Reading the book is optional. The group has chosen books for the next several months. For Aug. 31, the title of the book is Bodies in Motion and at Rest: On Metaphor and Mortaliaty, by Thomas Lynch, and the discussion will be led by JoEy Vernon. For Sept. 28th, the book that has been chosen is Acedia and Me, by Kathleen Norris, and the discussion will be led by Judith Barnes.
African Bible Study
Meets every Sunday between services in the Sanctuary. Join us at 9:10 am. No pre-reading required.
Episcopal Cathecism
This course is a prerequisite for confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church. It will be held on Wednesday evenings, starting Aug. 11th at 6:00 pm, and will run until Sept. 29th.
Thursday Morning Bible Study
Meets every Thursday from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at the home of a member. Pre-reading and study is required for this group. Please contact Judith Barnes (judithbarnes@cox.net) for details.
Thursday Afternoon Centering Prayer
Meets every Thursday from 4:00 pm-5:30 pm in the Sanctuary. It is an ancient and meaningful style of meditatiave prayer that can help you stay grounded for the entire week. No reading or prior experience is necessary. Everyone is invited to join and learn the roots, purpose and process of Centering Prayer.
Friday Morning Men's Bible Study Group
Meets every Friday morning from 7:00 am - 8:00 am for a short Bible Lesson, coffee and fellowship.
